O Brother, Where Art Thou?
When O Brother, Where Art Thou? first came out in theaters, I remember wanting to see it. I didn’t really know anything about it, other than it looked quirky and visually looked like it was full of really organic shades of green and brown. But that was during a time of intense shedding (practicing), and I missed everything that happened during that period, including this movie.

But it stuck in my head and I knew I’d get around to watching it one day. So I finally saw it, and it’s amazing. I know a lot of my close friends also missed pretty much every movie that came out in theaters at the end of the 90’s because we were all so busy with music or art, so I’m recommending it to everyone—watch it now. The cinematography is gorgeous, but more importantly the music is amazing.
O Brother, Where Art Thou? takes you to another time and place, visually and aurally as only the Coen brothers could do. I’m not usually into writing reviews or making recommendations, but this movie is really worth checking out if you haven’t already.
UPDATE 05/10/2006: I just received word that the third Coen Borthers/Clooney movie, titled Hail Caesar is in production. It looks like it’s going to be another great film.

The cinematography wasn’t cricinematography, apparentkonitz.
