St. Nicks 2006
The St. Nicks gig is now the Arlene Talley show. She sings the last set with the band everytime, tears it up, and the audience goes insane. George isn’t doing the gig anymore, and I’m not really sure why, but I miss his Ray Charles/Louis Armstrong impressions. The new drummer, Richard is great and just lays it down like a rock. I end up calling a lot of the tunes, and we’ve played a few of my old favorites like I’ve Never Been in Love Before and You Don’t Know Me.
This winter has been schizophrenically warm and cold—60 degrees one day and 30 the next.
Sumul and Maudie drove across the country and moved to San Francisco—pretty much out of the blue.
I have another show coming up in February at Kavehaz—belting out and playing a bunch of new tunes on the piano. Joining me will be Dave Little (who rocked last time), Moppa Elliott, and Fred Kennedy.
When I was a kid and thought about “the future,” I thought by year 2006 we’d have flying cars would all be walking around in silver space suits.

You predicted the flying cars by 2000 and when you saw the Moller Skycar you knew you were right.
