Upcoming Show at Kavehaz
This Monday (the 13th), I’m playing a lot of new material and a couple of songs from The Last Leaves at Kavehaz at 9pm. Musically, it’s a very different sound from the album and the old songs are sorta rearranged—for the better I think. The subdued sound of the album was good at the time, but I’m feeling a little more outward lately… so now it’s less folk, more rock, and I’m joined by some amazing New York jazz musicians:
- Dave Little on electric guitar.
- Moppa Elliott on bass.
- Fred Kennedy on drums.
I’ll be playing a nice Baldwin upright piano and belting out some lyrics. I’m really psyched about the show and the band so please come hear us if you can. I think most people will hear at least one song they’ll like, and hopefully more. We’re supposed to get hit by a decent snow storm in the city (finally some winter snow!), but I think Monday night should be ok for going out. I know it’s gonna be cold, but maybe we can warm your soul with some good tunes.
